O R D E R

Criminal Miscellaneous Petition has been filed by the petitioner/defacto complainant seeking permission of this Court to disburse the amount of Rs.2,00,000/- to the petitioner/de-facto complainant which was deposited by the bail petitioners/A1 to A3 into the credit of Crime No.145 of 2024 as ordered by this Court in Crl.O.P.No. 5252 of 2025, dated 05.03.2025.

2. The petitioner/de-facto complainant has not established any point that the petitioner/de-facto complainant is entitled to get the money deposited by the bail petitioners and without there being any legal provision in respect of this, this petition has been filed. 3.It is further submitted that the money is in the Court's custody, and if the same is invested in an interest bearing account, it would benefit the parties if the case is ends in their favour.

In view of the above discussion, I am of the view that a direction is to be issued to the learned II Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai, to deposit the money into a Nationalised Bank's interest bearing account and periodically renew the same until the disposal of the case. 5.Accordingly, this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is disposed of. 24.10.2025 MSM To 1.The II Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai. 2.The Inspector of Police (Crime) G-5, Secretariat Colony Police Station Kilpauk, Chennai-600 010.
