[Made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to produce the petitioner's sister, namely, Hakkem Umera (aged 24 years) D/o.Hakeem Sabiulla, before this Court and set her at liberty.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that her sister Hakkem Umera, aged 24 years, went missing from 30.11.2022 and that police are not taking effective steps to secure him.
3. On instructions, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that based on the complaint of the petitioner, a case in Omerabad P.S.Crime No.420 of 2022 was registered for "woman missing" on 02.12.2022 and preliminary enquiry revealed that Hakkem Umera was in love with one Ameer, who was also not found in his house.
4. In the aforestated circumstances, we direct the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Ambur, to supervise the investigation in Omerabad P.S.Crime No.420 of 2022 and keep the petitioner informed of 2/4
the developments, if any. As and when the detenue is secured, she shall be produced before the Judicial Magistrate, Ambur, under intimation to the petitioner. On such production, the learned Magistrate shall pass appropriate orders.
