Mr.Muhilan, appearing for the respondent would have no objection to mandamus being issued directing the respondent being the Secretary to Home Department, Chennai to consider the petitioner's appeal dated 18.04.2023 and subsequent representation dated 16.09.2023 praying for grant of gun licence. He would suggest that appeal will be disposed within a period of eight weeks from today after hearing the petitioner and this satisfies the petitioner as well.
