Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to disposes the medical claim made by petitioner for the treatment of his wife by considering the representation dated 14/06/2019. ORDER

1.The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to disposes the medical claim made by petitioner for the treatment of his wife by considering the representation dated 14/06/2019. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. 3.According to the petitioner, the petitioner retired from service as Village Administrative Officer and the petitioner is receiving pension. The State Government of Tamil Nadu issued G.O.Ms.No.169 dated 09.06.2016, providing health care assistance by way of reimbursement to the government employees and shall implementation of family members. based on the said G.O., the petitioner made by his application dated 14.06.2019 before the second respondent for reimbursement of medical expenses, since his wife had undergone a surgery. Since no action is forthcoming from the respondents, the petitioner is before Court.

4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that without going into the merits of the case, it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 14.06.2019 and to pass appropriate orders.

5.Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, I am inclined to issue direction to the first respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 14.06.2019, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
