ORDER

The Petitioner whose request for issue of patta in respect of the land measuring 28 cents comprised in Sl.No.89/1A3 of Gengasanikuppam Village, Anaicut Taluk, Vellore District on 24.01.2022 with a reminder on 25.06.2024 has not been considered to date, therefore the Petitioner is before this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The 4th Respondent by not considering the representation of the Petitioner made as early as on 24.01.2022 failed to perform his statutory duty. Once again, the request has been renewed by a representation dated 25.06.2024, to which also there is no response. Since the 4th Respondent has failed to perform his statutory duty, a mandamus is issued to the 4th Respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 24.01.2022 followed by 25.06.2024 and issue Patta to the Petitioner within a period of Page No. 2 of 4

six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. The Writ Petition is allowed in terms of the above observations and directions. No costs.
