PRAYER Writ Petition filed under Art.226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records relevant to the order in Ref.No.AB2/38037/2017 dated on 22/02/2018 passed by the 1st respondent and quash the same as illegal improper, arbitrary and against the natural justice and there by direct the respondent to appoint the petitioner in the respondents department in any one of the post according to his educational qualification under the compassionate Ground without any further delay. ORDER
Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Addl. Govt. Pleader appearing for the respondents.
2. The petitioner, by the present writ petition, has assailed the action of the 1 st respondent in issuing order in reference No.AB2/38037/2017, dated 22.02.2018, whereby, his request for appointment on compassionate ground has been rejected with a consequential direction to the respondents to appoint petitioner in the respondent Department in any one of the posts according to his educational qualification.
3. After arguing the matter at length by the counsel for the petitioner as well as the respondent on 11.09.2025 and on the matter being reserved for orders,it was mentioned to the Court that the petitioner has been appointed as Forest Guard on 25.01.2022 and as such, the grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition has been redressed. On the aforesaid fact being brought to the notice of this court, the matter was re-opened and listed for further hearing today i.e., 12.09.2025.
4. Today, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the writ petitioner as well as the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that though the respondents have initially rejected the claim of the petitioner for appointment on compassionate ground, the respondent authority, thereafter have considered the case of the petitioner and appointed him as a Forest Guard in the respondent Department and he is presently posted at Udagamandalam w.e.f. 25.01.2022.
5. In view of the aforesaid submission, since, the petitioner is now
secured a job on compassionate ground, the grievance of the petitioner stands redressed. Hence, no further orders are required to be passed in this writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition stands closed.
