By consent of both the parties, this writ petition has been taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. Ms.M.Jayanthy, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice for the respondents.
3. This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondents to regularize the services of the petitioner to any eligible post on completion of 10 years of service rendered by the petitioner as a casual Employee, based on the petitioner's representation dated 04.06.2016, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 2/6
4. The petitioner claims that he has been working as a Computer Operator in the Forest Department for more than 10 years. He seeks for regularization of his service. The petitioner has given several representations to the respondents to regularise his service. Since the representations have not been considered till date, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.
5. Heard Ms.S.Vasavi Sridevi, learned counsel for the petitioner and Ms.M.Jayanthy, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents.
6. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if the petitioner's representation as stated supra is considered on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. However, since the representations given by the petitioner earlier are old ones, the petitioner will have to give a fresh representation.
7. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the petitioner to submit a fresh representation to the second respondent, requesting to regularize his service within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the said representation, the second 3/6
respondent is directed to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks thereafter.
8. With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
