ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a mandamus seeking for a direction to the first respondent to pass final orders on the third respondent's proposal dated 02.01.2019 seeking approval for the appointment of the petitioner as an Office Assistant within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

The third respondent college is a minority institution. The third respondent has appointed the petitioner as an Office Assistant. The third respondent college has sent a proposal on 02.01.2019 to the first respondent requesting them to approve the petitioner's appointment as an Office Assistant. According to the petitioner, the Office Assistant post is a sanctioned post. Since final orders have not been passed on the third respondent's proposal referred to supra, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

Heard Ms.Catherin Martin, learned counsel for the petitioner. Mr.D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of respondents 1 and 2. Ms.C.R.Rose Radhi Jijo, learned counsel undertakes to file vakalat on behalf of the third respondent.

No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the third respondent's proposal dated 02.01.2019 seeking approval for the appointment of the petitioner as an Office Assistant in the third respondent college is considered on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 5.

For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the first respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the third respondent's proposal dated 02.01.2019 seeking approval for the appointment of the petitioner as an Office Assistant in the third respondent college within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
