The petitioner herein apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 4(1)(C), 4(1)(A) of the 1/4

Tamil Nadu Prohibition (Amendment) Act 2024 in Crime No.172 of 2025, on the file of the respondent Police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The petitioner herein seeks anticipatory bail in connection with a case registered for seizure of 25 bottles of brandy from A1.

3. The prosecution states that this petitioner along with A2 had procured brandy bottles from Pondicherry and supplied them to A1 for retail sale. This petitioner is having 8 previous cases of similar nature, and if he is released on bail, he may continue committing the offence.

4. The apprehension of the respondent police is well founded. Hence, the petition for anticipatory bail filed by the petitioner stands dismissed. 02.09.2025 cda 2/4
