By this application, permission is being sought for exhibiting secondary evidence in relation to the documents listed in paragraph 3 (a) to (d), (f) to (i) of the affidavit. The original petitioner, who was the husband of Usha Gopalan and father of Anush Gopalan, passed away after the petition was instituted. On the ground that the originals of the above mentioned documents were in his custody and are not currently traceable, the present application is filed.

2. After initially entering appearance through counsel, the respondents failed to appear in the matter. After effecting paper publication, the matter is at the stage of recording evidence.
