Prayer : Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 3 and 4 to register the complaint dated 12.05.2017 and initiate action against the 5th respondent and consequently direct the respondents 1 to 3 to implement the order of this Hon'ble Court in "Gopal Vs. State of Tamilnadu" in its true spirit and put down the evil practice of "Kattapanchayats" or "Kangaroo Court" perpetually and particularly in the "Ayyampettai Village" with immediate effect. This writ petition has been filed to direct respondents 3 and 4 to register the complaint dated 12.05.2017.
2. It is seen that the petitioner has sought for direction directing respondents 3 and 4 to register his complaint dated 12.05.2017. Now, almost two years have been lapsed and hence, due to the lapse of period, the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted now. However, the petitioner is at liberty to file a fresh complaint, on fresh cause of action, if so advised.

With the above observation, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
