O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking direction to direct the second respondent police to give police protection for the petitioner to construct the house in her land bearing survey No.252 on the basis of the complaint dated 04.11.2019.

2. Heard Mr.S.Karthikeyan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents police 1 & 2 and Mr.B.Gopalakrishnan, learned counsel appearing for the respondents 3 to 5. Despite several adjournments, the petitioner has not turned up and there is no representation on her side.

3. Today when the petition came up for hearing, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 & 2 on instructions would submit that earlier on 13.10.2019, the petitioner herein presented a complaint before the second respondent police and on receipt of the same, he had conducted an enquiry in CSR.No.868/2019 and closed the same on the same day. He would further submit that as of now, no representation pertaining to the petitioner is pending on the file of the second respondent. Therefore in the absence of any representation, this Court cannot direct the police officers to provide adequate police protection.

4. With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
