Peruri Seenu v. The Inspecto Of Police

2023-11-07Honourable Mr Justice C.V. Karthikeyan2 pages

Crl.OP.No.25383 of 2023 Crl.O.P.No.25383 of 2023 C.V.KARTHIKEYAN, J.

The petitioner/A3 in C.C.No.343 of 2022 now pending before the learned Principal Sessions Judge under EC & NDPS Act cases, Chennai, seeks bail.

2.Originally, Crime No.216 of 2022 had been registered under Sections 8(c) r/w 20(b)(ii)(c) and 25, 29(2)(a) of NDPS Act. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner stated that there has been a direction that the calender case should be disposed of at the earliest. But there was no further progress in the calender case. 4.I am confident that the learned Principal Sessions Judge under EC & NDPS Act cases, Chennai, would endeavour to proceed further with the trial without any unnecessary delay. 5.But however, taking into consideration that there has been no specific change in circumstances from the date when the earlier bail application had been dismissed on 10.07.2023 in Crl.O.P.No.14790 of 2023, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. 6.Hence, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. 07.11.2023 vkr 1/2 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
