2. These cases, Cr.Nos.238 and 239 of 2024 are registered for alleged offence (s) under Sections 296(b), 115(2) & 351(2) of BNS and Sections 296(b), 115(2) and 118(1) of BNS and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition Page No.1 of 3
of Harassment of Women Act, 2002. The parties have moved on and have no objection to the case being disposed of on compromise. Due to the unique manner in which this designated bench conducts hybrid hearings, the filing of written affidavits or terms of compromise is dispensed with. Considering the factual matrix, the context in which the conflict arose, the background of the parties, and their present position, these are appropriate cases for the exercise of jurisdiction under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure as per Gian Singh -Vs-State of Punjab & another, (2012 10 SCC 303).
3. Accordingly, the cases in CC.Nos.175 and 160 of 2025 on the file of Judicial Munsif Cum Judicial Magistrate Court, Uthiramerur Taluk, Kancheepuram stand quashed and these Suo Motu Transfer cases are disposed of.
11.09.2025 rap electronically alone. The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary.
