Crl.OP.No.26462 of 2023 Crl.O.P.No.26462 of 2023 C.V.KARTHIKEYAN,J.
The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Section 6 (4) of the TNSC (RDCS) Order 1982 r/w Section 7 (1) (a) (ii) of Essential Commodities Act, 1955, in Crime No.182 of 2023, on the file of the respondent police seeks anticipatory bail.
2.It is contended by the learned counsel for the petitioner that A1 had been granted bail in Crl.O.P.No.25261 of 2023, dated 03.11.2023. But, A1 was the driver of the lorry. The petitioner herein is the owner of the lorry. Earlier anticipatory bail petition was dismissed on 20.10.2023. 3.Taking into consideration the huge quantity of PDS rice i.e., 6,080Kgs, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner herein. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. sli 22.11.2023 1/2 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
