Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to conduct enquiry and abolish the practice of extrication in any form and to provide protection of Right to Life to the petitioners and their families as enshrined under Article 21 of Constitution of India and consequently to take appropriate action against the persons responsible for ostracizing the petitioners from their community.

ORDER
The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to direct the respondents to conduct enquiry and abolish the practice of extrication in any
form and to provide protection of Right to Life to the petitioners and their families as enshrined under Article 21 of Constitution of India and consequently to take appropriate action against the persons responsible for ostracizing the petitioners from their community.
2. The writ petition was instituted in the year 2017 and on account of efflux of time, the relief as such sought in the present writ petition lost its relevance. However, if any grievance exists as of now, the petitioners are at liberty to approach the competent authority for appropriate remedy in the manner known to law.
3. With this liberty, the writ petition is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
