ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the representation of the 2/6
petitioners dated 15.11.2022 and to regularise their services in the post of Sanitary Workers from the date of their initial appointment with all service and monetary benefits.
2.The grievance of the petitioners is that though they have been working as Sanitary Workers for a long number of years, their services have not been regularised till date by the respondents. In such circumstances, they have given a joint representation on 15.11.2022 seeking for regularisation. Since the representation has not been considered till date, they have filed this writ petition. 3.Heard Mr.S.Selva Thirumurugan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.V.Dinesh Rajkumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. 4.The petitioners have filed documents along with the writ petition to substantiate that they are entitled for regularisation. 3/6
5.It is for the respondents to consider the same, on merits and in accordance with law and decide as to whether the petitioners are entitled for regularisation or not. All of them claim that they are in service for long number of years. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioners' claim.
6.For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the respondents 1 and 2 to pass final orders, on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioners' representation dated 15.11.2022 seeking for regularisation in service as Sanitary Workers, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7.With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
