When the petition for the condonation of delay was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner/appellant/accused submitted that the petitioner is confined in Jail, pursuant to the Appellate Court Judgment; and that the parties namely the petitioner and the respondent/complainant have entered into a compromise by which the respondent agreed to receive Rs.3,00,000/- being the cheque amount and not to contest the case in future.

2. Mr.T.Balachandran, learned counsel submits that he had already filed vakalath for the respondent.

4. Being satisfied with the reasons stated in the affidavit filed in support of the petition, the delay stands condoned and the petition is ordered.
