O R D E R

The petitioners have filed this petition to quash the proceedings in S.T.C.No.783 of 2019 pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thambaram, Chennai.

2. For the past two hearings there was no representation for the petitioners. The learned counsel for the respondent appeared.

3. The matter relates to Section 138 of the Negotiable Instrument Act, arising out of S.T.C.No.783 of 2019 for the default in making payment of Rs.3,73,000/- . This Court was informed that due to the pending of present Criminal Original Petition, there is no progress in the trial Court. Even today non appeared on behalf of the petitioner to prosecute the case.

4. In view of the above, this Criminal original Petition is dismissed and the trial court is directed to dispose of the case within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Consequently connected Miscellaneous petitions are closed.
