Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to issue a direction to the respondent to complete the trial in C.C.No.1 of 2019 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court No.1, Nagapattinam, within a reasonable time. O R D E R
This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to complete the trial in C.C.No.1 of 2019 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court No.1, Nagapattinam, within a reasonable time.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent has submitted that out of 26 witnesses cited in the chargesheet, already two witnesses were examined on the side of the prosecution and remaining 24 witnesses to be examined and hence, he requests to grant six months time for disposing of the abovesaid case.

4. Considering the aforesaid submission, the trial court is directed to dispose of the abovesaid case within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the aforesaid direction, this petition is disposed of.
