..Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction, in the nature of a Writ of Habeas Corpus to call for the entire records, relating to the petitioners husband detention Under EC Act, 1980 (Central Act 7 of 1980) vide detention order, dated 06.08.2025 on the file of the second respondent herein made in proceedings in Cr.M.P.No.64/Black Marker/2025, quash the same as illegal and consequently direct the respondents herein to produce the petitioners husband namely Hariharapandiyan, S/o.Gnanapandiyan, aged 43 years before this Honble High Court and set the petitioners husband at liberty from detention, now the petitioners husband detained at Central Prison, Coimbatore. Mr.S.Rajakumar Additional Public Prosecutor Order (Order of the Court was made by R.Suresh Kumar J.) This Habeas Corpus Petition is filed for the following relief:
" To call for the entire records, relating to the petitioners husband detention Under EC Act, 1980 (Central Act 7 of 1980) vide detention order, dated 06.08.2025 on the file of the second respondent herein made in proceedings in Cr.M.P.No.64/Black Marker/2025, quash the same as illegal and consequently direct the respondents herein to produce the petitioners husband namely Hariharapandiyan, S/o.Gnanapandiyan, aged 43 years before this Honble High Court and set the petitioners husband at liberty from detention, now the petitioners husband detained at Central Prison, Coimbatore.
2. Today when the case is taken up for hearing at the admission stage, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that the detention order which is impugned herein dated 06.08.2025 has been revoked by issuance of a Government Order in G.O.(Rt) No.331, Co-operation, Food and Consumer Protection (E1) Department dated 10.09.2025 and in support of his contention, he has produced a copy of the said order. The scanned copy of the Government Order is annexed herewith for easy reference.
In view of the same, this HCP is dismissed.
