By consent of both the parties, this writ petition has been taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. Ms. S. Pavithra, learned Standing Counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

2. The petitioners have worked in the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation and retired from service. At the time of retirement, the petitioners were holding the posts of Special Grade Conductors, Drivers and Foreman respectively and they have successfully completed 25-30 years of service. It is the grievance of the petitioners that after retirement, the respondent /Corporation did not settle the surrender leave salary due to them. Further, it is the contention of the 2nd petitioner that the terminal benefits have also not been settled to him, till date. Under such circumstances, they have sent representations on 09.03.2025 seeking for the aforesaid payments along with interest for the belated payments. It is the case of the petitioners that neither their representations were considered nor their dues were settled by the respondent. Hence, this writ petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the materials available on record.

4. Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent fairly 2/4

submitted that the respondent will consider the petitioners' representations and appropriate directions in this regard may be issued by this Court.

In view of the fair submissions made by the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent, without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the respondent to consider the petitioners' representations seeking for surrender leave salary / terminal benefits, if any, due to the petitioners with applicable interest and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
