Prayer Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 10.03.2025 for grant assignment of Gramma Natham lands measuring 0.03.03 Hectares comprised in S.Nos.413/ 413/2 and 413/3 at Udaiyamuthur village Thirupattur Taluk Thirupattur District.

For Petitioners : Mr.M.Sivavarthanan For Respondents : Mr.D.Ravichander Special Government Pleader (T) Order Heard Mr.M.Sivavarthanan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and MrMr.D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader for respondent, who takes notice on behalf of the respondents. With consent, the main Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

2. The petitioners have made a representation to the respondents dated 10.03.2025 to assign Gramma Natham Lands in respect of a land, measuring 0.03.03 Hectares comprised in S.Nos.413/ 413/2 and 413/3 at Udaiyamuthur village Thirupattur Taluk Thirupattur District. (morefully 2/5

described in para No.2 of this Order) on payment of land value at the market price, since, as on date, the said representation has not evoked any response, the petitioners have filed the present Writ Petition seeking for a direction for disposal of the said representation in a time bound manner.

3. Considering the limited scope of the prayer made by the petitioners, no useful purpose would be served by keeping this Writ Petition pending, awaiting a counter/reply affidavit from the respondents, inasmuch as, the aforesaid relief can be granted in the absence of the counter affidavit, which is in no way prejudicial to the respondents. Therefore, after hearing the learned counsel appearing for the parties and perusing the materials on record, this Court disposes of this Writ Petition with a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the said representation made by the petitioners' dated 10.03.2025 and take effective steps, as they are required to take under law on the representation and dispose of the same within a period of four weeks from the receipt of this order and also communicate the decision taken to the petitioners. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is ordered.
