Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

This is a petition filed by the petitioner seeking to direct the respondent to consider their representation dated 01.10.2019 to issue patta to them for the land ad-measuring 87.45 cents comprised in S.No.13/253 (part) bearing plot Nos.3, 4 & 5, Block No.21, Urur Village, earlier Mylapore Triplicane Taluk, presently Velacherry Taluk, Chennai.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that it is a trust involved in charity works for the downtrodden people. The petitioner purchased the subject land vide 11 sale deeds in the year 1993. Ever since the date of purchase, the petitioner is in possession of the same. The petitioner approached the respondent vide representation dated 01.10.2019 for the issuance of patta to the subject land. However, the respondent had not given any reply to that. Page No. 2 of 5

Considering the limited nature of the prayer sought for and without expressing any opinion on the merits of this case, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 01.10.2019 on merits after giving notice to both the parties, opportunity of personal hearing and to pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law by observing the above principles of natural justice within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
