ORDER
The writ petition is filed by the writ petitioner to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to take action against the respondent No.3 and other erring prison officials departmentally for their involvement in torturing the petitioner's son, a life convict https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
viz., Ajmeer Khaja, S/o. Abdul Sukkur confined in Central Prison, Cuddalore and further directs the respondents 1 and 2 do pay Rs.10,00,000/- [Rupees Ten Lakhs Only] as compensation to the petitioner for the physical violence done to the petitioner's son by the third respondent and his men.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the son of the petitioner viz., Ajmeer Khaja, son of Abdul Sukkur, was convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment and he is a life convict, now confined in Central Prison, Cuddalore.
4. It is found that there is no harassment made by the Prison Authorities as alleged by the petitioner. Hence, the writ petition is devoid of merits and accordingly the same is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
