O R D E R

The petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to take immediate steps to protect the video footages recorded from 14.09.2019 - 9.00 a.m to 15.09.2019 -5.00 p.m in the hard disk of the CCTV Cameras kept in the Manavala Nagar Police Station,

and to direct the second respondent to take immediate step to recover the video footages recorded from 14.09.2019 - 9.00 a.m to 15.09.2019 5.00 p.m in the hard disk of the CCTV Camera kept in the Manavala Nagar Police station and submit before this Court.

In the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition, it is stated that the petitioner was arrested along with the vehicle on 14.09.2019 at about 9.45 a.m by the Manavala Nagar Police and after the expiry of 24 hrs, he was produced before the learned judicial Magistrate. Therefore the present writ petition is filed in the nature of mandamus to take immediate steps to protect the video footages recorded from 14.09.2019 - 9.00 a.m to 15.09.2019 5.00 p.m in the hard disk of the CCTV Cameras kept in the Manavala Nagar Police Station. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may issue a direction to the second respondent to recover the video footages recorded from 14.09.2019 - 9.00 a.m to 15.09.2019 5.00 p.m in the hard disk of the CCTV Camera kept in the Manavala Nagar Police station and submit before this Court.

4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the video footages of CCTV Cameras can be saved only for 30 days.

5.It is seen that the video footages of CCTV Cameras can be saved only for 30 days. Therefore the video footages recorded from 14.09.2019 - 9.00 a.m to 15.09.2019 5.00 p.m in the hard disk of the CCTV Camera kept in the Manavala Nagar Police station is not available.

6.Considering the facts and circumstances of this case, this case devoid of any merits. Accordingly the writ petition is dismissed.
