ORDER

This Suo Motu case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by the Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu W.P.(Crl.)No.618 of 2025.

2. This case is registered for alleged offences under Sections 408 of IPC. The accused is said to have wilfully lost the registers in the bus with an intention that no one gets promotion under the Integrated Page No.1 of 3

Child Development Scheme. The accused was also arrested and remanded to custody and came out on bail and at that point of time he was aged 56 years, however, now he is 81 years of age. Summons could not be served consequently warrant is also pending. The occurrence is of the year 2008, further continuation of the trial would impinge upon the right to a speedy trial of the accused. Further continuing with the case would serve no useful purpose.

3. Accordingly, CC.No.500199 of 2012 of Judicial Magistrate Court No.1, Dharmapuri Taluk, Dharmapuri stands quashed and this Suo Motu Transfer case is disposed of.
