O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 15.02.2023 wherein the petitioner has sought for promotion on par with his juniors. 2.

Heard Mr.M.Venkadesh Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Balathandayutham, learned Special Government Pleader for respondents 1 to 3. 3.

The grievance of the petitioner is that he was appointed on compassionate ground and there was delay in sending him for Bhavanisagar Training. In view of the same, the Juniors of the petitioner marched over and the petitioner was deprived of getting promotion on time. In order to set right this anomaly, a representation was made by the petitioner to the 3rd respondent through the 2nd respondent. The 3rd respondent did not take any decision on the representation given by the petitioner and the claim of the petitioner for promotion on par with his 2/5

junior did not evoke any response. It is under these circumstances, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the nature of grievance that has been expressed by the petitioner, there shall be a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 15.02.2023 on its own merits and in accordance with law and take a decision within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order. 5.

The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the respondents 1 and 2 along with all the relevant documents and also a copy of this order.
