ORDER

This Suo Motu Case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by the Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu W.P.(Crl.) No.618 of 2025. 2.The case was registered in Cr.No.258 of 2016 for the alleged offence under Section 294 (b), 324 and 506 (2) of the I.P.C. In this case L.W.1 already died. L.W.2 is present and submits that the accused and the defactocomplainant are related to each other and presently the accused is mentally ill. The defacto-complainant does not want to pursue the case any further. There Page No.1 of 3

is no previous or subsequent case against the accused. 3.Considering the nature of the allegation, the antecedents of the accused, any further continuation of the trial would impinge upon his right to a speedy trial of the accused and no useful purpose would be served. 4.Accordingly, the case in C.C.No.47 of 2017 of Judicial Magistrate Court, Dharapuram, Dharapuram Taluk, Tiruppur, stands quashed. This Suo Motu Transfer Case is disposed of.

The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary.
