Settu @ Balaji@ Settu Balaji v. Inspector Of Police
Crl.O.P.No.25569 of 2023 Crl.O.P.No.25569 of 2023 C.V.KARTHIKEYAN , J.
The petitioner is an accused in S.C.No.162 of 2019, now pending before the XIX Additional City Civil Court at Chennai, seeks bail. Originally, Crime No.751 of 2017 had been registered for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 353, 333, 307 & 506(ii) of IPC.
2.The petitioner had been granted bail but he had avoided participation in the judicial proceedings, necessitating issuance of Nonbailable Warrant on 10.07.2019. The petitioner was secured only on 07.07.2023. The petitioner was absconding for a period of four years. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner was in custody with some other cases. But still, the fact that the petitioner was an accused in another case, necessarily leads the inference that there is every possibility of the petitioner absconding once again. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
