Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to implement the 13th wage settlement dated 04.01.2018 and to revise the salary of the petitioners and to pay the difference amount of salary from 01.09.2016 till the date of retirement and to revise all the retirement benefits of the petitioners based on the revised salary as per 13th Wage Settlement dated 04.01.2018 and to pay the amount to the petitioners along with 12% interest per annum form the 1/5

ORDER
This writ petition is filed seeking for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to pay the difference in surrender leave salary and difference in pension as per 13th and 14th wage settlement with 10% interest to the petitioners.
2. Mr.M.Murali Vinoth, learned Standing Counsel takes notice on behalf of the respondents. In view of the consent expressed by the learned counsel on either side, this Writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that, in all the similar matters, this Court has consistently allowed the payment with interest at the rate of 6% per annum.
4. In that view of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of on the 2/5
following terms:
(i) The respondents are directed to revise the salary and all the retirement benefits of the petitioners and consequently pay the same as per wage settlement to the petitioners, if they are eligible as per the Rules, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order with interest at the rate of 6% per annum from the dates on which the amounts became due till the date of disbursement. (ii) If the amount is not paid within a period of eight (8) weeks, thereafter, the same shall carry the interest at the rate of 12% per annum from the dates on which the amounts became due till the date of disbursement.
(iii) There shall be no order as to costs.
