PRAYER : Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue Writ of Mandamus or any other direction in the nature of writ, to direct the 1st Respondent to sell the properties by way of auction and disperse the sale proceeds to the victims and pass appropriate orders. ORDER
This petition is filed by the accused in the cases under TNPID Act, 2012 seeking direction to the Competent Authority to liquidate the assets and disburse to the investors.
2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) today filed status report on behalf of the Competent Authority indicating that out of 39 properties, 28 properties Government Orders for attachment passed and steps have been taken for liquidating the properties and pursuant to the common order passed in O.A. Nos.26 of 2012, 3 of 2013, 12 of 2013 and 13 of 2013, once the property is liquidated, disbursement will start. He seeks six months time for completion of this process.
3. Recording the same, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the Competent Authority to complete the process of disbursement within a period of six months from today.
