Respondents Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner for appointment to the post of Lecture (Mechanical Engineering) in the vacancy caused on account of non joining of selected candidate in Mechanical Engineering, one candidate by name Mr.Riyas Mydheen (Reg.No.19PT0231092778) pursuant to the notification issued by the 2nd respondent vide notification No.14/2019 dated 27.11.2019 and strictly in accordance with 5th proviso to section 27(f) of Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions of Service) Act, 2016 and taking into consideration of the marks secured by the petitioner within the period that may be stipulated by this Court. This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner for appointment to the post of Lectures (Mechanical Engineering) in the vacancy caused on account of non joining of one selected candidate in Mechanical Engineering namely Mr.Riyas Mydheen (Reg.No.19PT0231092778) pursuant to the notification issued by the 2nd respondent vide notification No.14/2019 dated 27.11.2019 and by strictly following 5th proviso to section 27(f) of Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions of Service) Act, 2016 and taking into consideration the marks secured by the petitioner.
2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Advocate General produced a copy of the Additional Provisional Selection List of candidates for the subject Mechanical Engineering dated 05.02.2025, in which the petitioner's name is found in serial number 3.

In view of the fact that the petitioner's name has been included in the Additional Provisional Selection List for the subject Mechanical Engineering, a direction is issued to the 4th respondent to issue appointment order in pursuance to the provisional selection list, within a period of six weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed. 14.02.2025 dpq Index: Yes/No Speaking order / Non speaking order 4/6
