When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the trial in C.C.No.296 of 2022 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Mettur, Salem District, had been completed and that the petitioners were acquitted way back on 06.05.2024 itself, as a result of which, the prayer sought in this petition has become infructuous.

Recording the aforesaid submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as having become infructuous. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
