This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus to forbear the respondents from in any way proceeding further, selecting and appointing any body to the post of Motor Vehicle Inspector Grade II pursuant to the issuance of notification No.11/2024 dated 13.08.2024 without appointing the selected candidates who took part in the selection process pursuant to the notification No.3 of 2018 dated 14.02.2018 for the post of Motor Vehicles Inspector Grade II. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the Tamilnadu Public Service Commission [hereinafter referred to as 'TNPSC'] issued notification No.3 of 2018 dated 14.02.2018 for the post of Motor Vehicles Inspector Grade II and the petitioners applied 2/6
for the said post and participated in the selection process and scored high marks in the written examination. Whileso, some of the non selected candidates filed W.P.Nos.12375 of 2021 etc. batch which culminated in W.A.Nos.548 of 2023 etc. batch and during the pendancy of the writ appeals, oral interview was conducted as per the direction of the Hon'ble Division Bench of this Court and both the petitioners attended the oral interview. Thereafter, the Hon'ble Division Bench of this Court passed orders on 22.12.2023 and some of the candidates filed SLP(c) No.7906/2024 before the Hon'ble Apex Court. Whileso, the second respondent issued notification No.11/2024 dated 13.08.2024 inviting applications for various posts including Motor Vehicles Inspector Grade II, without finalizing the earlier selection.
3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners further submitted that the petitioners are successful candidates and without issuing appointment orders and without waiting for the orders from the the Hon'ble Apex Court, the second respondent proceeding with further notification is not sustainable one.

4.The learned counsel appearing for the second respondent submitted that the impugned notification is exclusion to the petitioners and other candidates who are successful in the notification No.3 of 2018 dated 14.02.2018 and further submitted that if they succeed before the Hon'ble Apex Court, they will be given appointment as per the order to be passed by the Hon'ble Apex Court and further submitted that the earlier selection have nothing to do with the present selection and seniority with regard to the earlier notification will be regained from the earlier notification and not from the date of impugned notification.
5.Heard the arguments advanced on either side and perused the materials available on record.
6.The petitioners are selected candidates for the post of Motor Vehicles Inspector Grade II pursuant to the notification No.3 of 2018 dated 14.02.2018. Some of the non selected candidates filed case and the same is now pending before the Hon'ble Apex Court. The impugned notification is exclusion to the petitioners and other candidates who are successful in the notification No.3 of 2018 dated 4/6
14.02.2018. Hence, the petitioners need not have any grievance and this Court is not inclined to grant the relief sought for by the petitioners.
7.The writ petition is dismissed. Immediately after disposal of SLP(c) No.7906/2024, the respondents are directed to pass suitable orders and if the petitioners succeed, give appointment order to the petitioners. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
