Crl.O.P.No.25439 of 2023 Crl.O.P.No.25439 of 2023 C.V.KARTHIKEYAN , J.

The petitioner seeks bail in Crime No.12 of 2023, registered by the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 376, 506(i) of IPC and Section 5(1),(j)(ii) r/w 6, 11(4) & 12 of POCSO Act, 2012. The petitioner had been taken into custody on 24.09.2023. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner stated that the petitioner is aged 27 years and the victim is aged 17 years. The petitioner wanted to put forth his relationship with the victim child. Unfortunately in the statement under Section 164(5) Cr.P.C., of the victim, she had stated that she had initially went over to the petitioner when he called her, trusting him as her brother, but later the petitioner had committed the offences complained of.

3.Let the evidence of the victim child be examined and thereafter, the consideration of bail could be examined. At this stage, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner herein. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
