This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to call for the records relating to Cr.No.869 of 2020, on the file of the 1st respondent Police, Padalur Police Station, Perambalur District, and quash the same. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the complaint was not given by the eye witness but by the son of the deceased, who has not seen the accident. He further submitted that there is no mention in the First Information Report as to who informed about the involvement of the vehicle bearing No.TN 46 W 4115 and the name of the accused to the defacto complainant. Therefore this petition.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) submitted that the investigation in this case is almost completed and pending for the receipt of Motor Vehicle Inspector's report.

4.On going through the First Information Report, this Court finds that 2/5

defacto complainant has not seen the accident. He was informed about the accident and then only he lodged the complaint. It is true that there is mention about the two wheeler bearing No.TN 46 W 4115 and the name of the accused. How did the defacto complainant come to know all these details will be revealed only during the course of investigation. First Information Report is not an encyclopedia. It is not expected that every minute details should be revealed. Now the investigation is almost completed, this Court is not inclined to quash the First Information Report. This Criminal Original Petition is dismissed giving direction to the respondent Police to file a final report within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
