ORDER

The relief sought for in this writ petition is to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the petitioner's representations dated 16.05.2025 and 21.05.2025.

2. Mr.B.Vijay, learned counsel takes notice on behalf of the first respondent. Mr.P.Harish, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of respondents 3 & 4. By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final hearing at the admission stage itself.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner has been in 2/6

continuous possession and cultivation of about 4.19 acres of agricultural land in Devarajapalayam Village, Pappireddipatti Taluk, Dharmapuri District since 2007 under lease arrangement from Kalaimagal Sabha. The petitioner was regularly paying his lease payments, which was also accepted by the respondents from 2012 to 2025. Under these circumstances, the petitioner made a representation dated 16.05.2025, before the third respondent, seeking either direct registration of the aforesaid land in his name or grant of long-term lease, citing livelihood dependence and statutory tenant rights. However, without considering the same, the respondents issued a public auction notice dated 18.05.2025, proposing to sell leasehold rights of the lands through etender. Thereafter, the petitioner has sent another representation dated 21.05.

2025, before the first respondent, enclosing DD for lease arrears, reiterating request for direct registration or renewal of lease. But, till date, the said representations were not considered by the respondents. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition.

4. Though many grounds have been raised in this writ petition, learned counsel for the petitioner submit that, it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the petitioner's representations dated 16.05.2025 and 21.05.2025.

5. Learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 3 & 4 would submit that the representations of the petitioner dated 16.05.2025 and 21.05.2025 would be considered and orders passed within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

6. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

Considering the limited relief sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the petitioner's representations dated 16.05.2025 and 21.05.2025, after giving due notice and opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner as well as aggrieved 4/6

persons, if any, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
