The Executive Engineer, Tamil Nadu Housing Board, Salem Division, Salem - 636 008, is suo motu added as fourth respondent in this writ petition.
2. This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to re-convey the subject property in favour of the petitioner based on G.O.Ms.No.179, dated 04.10.2024.
3. When the writ petition came up for hearing on earlier occasions, this Court directed the learned Additional Government Pleader to take instructions.

When the matter was taken up for hearing today, learned Additional Government Pleader produced the written instructions received from the Executive Engineer, Tamil Nadu Housing Board/impleaded fourth respondent. It is stated that the request made by the petitioner cannot be considered under G.O.Ms.No.179, dated 04.10.2024. However, a Special Committee has been appointed under G.O.Ms.No.10, dated 25.01.2025 and the request made by the petitioner will be placed before the Special Committee, which will deal with the same on its own merits and in accordance with law.
5. Considering the written instructions received from the fourth respondent and also considering the submissions of learned Additional Government Pleader, there shall be a direction to the fourth respondent to place the request made by the petitioner before the Special Committee and the Special Committee shall deal with the same on its own merits and in accordance with law and take a decision. This process shall be completed within a period of three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
