The petitioner seeks bail in Crime No.323 of 2023, registered by the respondent for the offences punishable under Sections 24(1) of COTPA Act, 2003, and Section 328 of IPC.

2.It is stated that the petitioner had been remanded to judicial custody on 07.10.2023.

3.It is stated that the petitioner was found in possession of 105 kgs of banned tobacco products.

4.Taking into consideration the huge quantity of contraband seized, even though it is contended that there is no previous case pending against the petitioner, but because the said contraband was seized from a grocery store, which is obviously mean that it was kept there for sales to the general public, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
