PETITION under Article 226 of The Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 25.9.2024 seeking for sub-division by transferring the patta in her name in S.F.NO.190/ 22A1, Selur Village, Paramathi Velur Taluk, Namakkal District. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader accepting notice for the respondents. 1/3

2. It is the contention of the petitioner that the property comprised in S.No.190/22A1, Selur Village, Paramathi Velur Taluk, Namakkal District originally belonged to one Mr.Thangavel. On his demise, his wife and daughters inherited the property and under a registered sale deed dated 17.4.2017, they sold the same to the petitioner. After the purchase, the petitioner made an online application on 25.9.2024 to the second respondent for sub-division and for the transfer of patta and the requisite fee was also remitted. However, the second respondent has not taken any steps in this regard. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

Considering the limited nature of relief that is sought for and taking note of the fact that the online application has also been made, the writ petition is allowed and a Mandamus is issued to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's online application dated 25.9.2024 and pass orders for sub-division and for transfer of patta within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
