The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 6(4), 7(1) (a) (ii) of TNSC (RDCS) Order, 1982, Essential Commodities Act, 1955, in Crime No.158 of 2023, on the file of the respondent police seeks anticipatory bail. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Thus, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail for the petitioner. 3.It is stated by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing on behalf of the respondent that the respondent had searched some Polythin Bags at Thakkapalli, Madhina Nagar and found that they contained 2240 Kgs of PDS rice. The petitioner herein is the first accused and there are three other accused. None of the accused are secured. The petitioner has three previous cases pending against him. Thus, he prayed for dismissal of this petition.

sli 4.Taking into consideration, the huge quantity of the PDS rice taken away by the accused persons, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
