The petitioner seeks bail in Crime No.379 of 2023, registered by the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 4(1)(a) & 4(1-A) of TNP Act and Section 25 (1-AA) of Arms Act. The petitioner had been taken into custody on 14.09.2023. 2.It is the case of the prosecution that A1 and A2, were found in possession with 20 bottles of TASMAC liquor. They both had been secured. On the confession of A1, it had been stated that A1 and A2 had purchased revolvers at Uttar Pradesh and supplied it to the other accused. 3.It is stated that the main person, who facilitated such purchase of guns from North India is the petitioner herein. Investigation in this regard is required. Though it is stated that A4 had been granted bail, the overt act against A4 is on different ground, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
