The Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent Police not to harass the petitioners under the guise of investigation/enquiry.
It is the grievance of the petitioners that under the pretext of enquiry, the respondent Police are unnecessarily harassing the petitioners. 3.
The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), on instructions, submitted that on receiving a complaint, an enquiry has been conducted in CSR and it is still pending. Thereby, the petitioners were called only for enquiry.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent and perused the materials available on record. 5.
At the outset, this Court finds that the entire issue appears to be a civil dispute, which is to be adjudicated before the competent civil 2/4
court. Further, it is seen that a civil suit is also pending between the parties. Therefore, the respondent Police is directed not to interfere in the civil dispute between the petitioners and the third party, except in the event of any law and order issue arising therefrom, which may warrant initiation of criminal proceedings and shall not call the petitioners for enquiry unnecessarily.

Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is closed. 03.09.2025 ham To 1.
