This petition has been filed seeking to grant further period of six months to complete the investigation and to file the final report as per the directions given by this Court in Crl.O.P.No.16683 of 2023 dated 26.07.2023.
2. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that this Court by an order dated 26.07.2023 has directed the petitioner herein to complete the investigation within a period of three months and file a final report. During the course of investigation, the role of certain additional accused have been surfaced and that the petitioner has to obtain sanction under Section 17(A) of Prevention of Corruption Act and also has to collect further materials so as to do complete justice in the investigation. Thereby, the petitioner sought for further time to comply with the order passed by this Court.
3. Learned counsel for the respondent submitted that this Court had earlier directed the petitioner herein to to complete the investigation within a period of three months and file a final report, whereas, the order has not complied with.

4. In reply, learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that the case itself was registered only on 28.04.2023 and number of documents have to be verified and thereby, he seek that atleast four months time would be granted to complete the investigation.

Considering the reasons and the request made by the petitioner, this Court feels it appropriate to extend the time by four months and accordingly, the time granted by this Court in Crl.O.P.No.16683 of 2023 dated 26.07.2023 to complete the investigation and to file the final report is extended by four months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 09.11.2023 ham Crl.M.P.No.17777 of 2023 in Crl.O.P.No.16683 of 2023 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
