Prayer:Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to provide a police protection to the petitioner for cultivating the lands described in the affidavit and forbear respondents 3 to 9 from in any manner interfering with the petitioner's peaceful possession and enjoyment of the above lands except by due process of law.

The writ petition has been filed for issuance of a mandamus to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to provide a police protection to the petitioner for cultivating the lands described in the affidavit and forbear respondents 3 to 9 from in any manner interfering with the petitioner's peaceful possession and enjoyment of the above lands except by due process of law. 2.There has been no representation for the petitioner during the earlier hearings on 19.06.2018 and 21.06.2018, as well as today despite the matter being posted under the caption 'For Dismissal'. Mr.S.Kamalesh Kannan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 is present. Hence, the writ petition stands dismissed for non-prosecution. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
