Respondents Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records pertaining to the impugned orders passed by the fifth respondent in Rc.PR.No.77/Tr.FR/2016 T.Z.O. 102/2016 dated 26.02.2016 and PR.No.77/Tr.PR/2015 u/r 3(b), TZO No.105/2016 dated 29.02.2016 and quash the same and consequently direct the first and second respondents to allow the petitioner to the superannuation retirement with all monetary benefits on par with M.Dhanasekaran and K.Murali and include the name of the petitioner for further promotion to the post of Inspector of Police as notionally.

The learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents, made a submission that during the pendency of the present writ petition, the departmental disciplinary proceedings initiated against the writ petitioner were concluded and final order was passed. Consequently, the petitioner was allowed to retire from service and all the pensionary benefits are also settled to the petitioner. Thus no further adjudication is required in respect of the grounds raised in the present writ petition.

2. Accordingly, the writ petition stands closed. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
