Ms.Keerthana Shenoi, learned counsel on behalf of Mr.L.Jai Venkatesh, learned Standing Counsel accepts notice for the respondent and is armed with instructions to enable final disposal of this Writ Petition, even at the stage of admission.

2. The petitioner is aggrieved by the bill raised by the respondent - Assistant Engineer (O and M), Tangedco in respect of service connection No.254279-13 for the period 31.05.2023 to 31.07.2023.

3. According to the petitioner, excess amount of Rs.2,10,000/- had been raised and the petitioner has also paid the said amount on 25.08.2023. The petitioner has also made a representation on 21.08.2023 pointing out the over invoicing. The consequential prayer is that there be no further demand raised by the respondent till the excess amount is adjusted as against the future bills.

4. Ms.Shenoi would accede to the position that the representation filed by the petitioner deserves to be considered on merits. She thus says that the petitioner 2 / 4

will be heard and an order passed by the respondent in accordance with law expeditiously.

5. Hence, mandamus is issued to the respondent to consider representation dated 21.08.2023, hear the petitioner and pass orders thereupon on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four (4) weeks from date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. This Writ Petition stands disposed as above. No costs. Connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
