O R D E R

The petitioners, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 85 of BNS Act, 2023, Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act and Section 4 of Domestic Violence Act, in Crime No.Not known of 2025, on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail.

2. The petitioners apprehend arrest in connection with Crime No.Not Known of 2025, based on a complaint lodged by the wife of the first petitioner.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent submits that CSR No.749 of 2025 has been registered and enquiry is pending. It is further submitted that if the petitioners participate in the enquiry, the police will not take any coercive steps against them.

4. Taking note of the said submissions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioners to participate in the enquiry on receipt of summons. On such appearance, the respondent police shall complete the enquiry within a period of three weeks and shall not take any coercive steps against the petitioners unless and until any serious cognizable offence is made 2/4
