ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to provide adequate police protection to petitioner life and his property bearing Survey No.28/5A measuring about 0-47,36 Ares situated in Keezhorathur Village, Veppur Taluk, Cuddalore District.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents 1 to 3.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has given a complaint against his son on the allegation that his son stolen Rs.40,000/- and golden jewels kept in his Almirah and occupied the house, brought rowdy elements and sent out the petitioner and his wife; he is also giving pressure to the petitioner to execute a settlement deed in respect of the property belonging to the petitioner; the petitioner has lodged a complaint on 02.12.2022 before the third respondent; so far no action has been taken by the third respondent on the complaint given by the petitioner.
4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents would submit that on the complaint given by the petitioner, CSR No.443 of 2022 has been assigned and enquiry is undertaken.
5. In view of the above, it is appropriate to direct the third respondent police to complete the enquiry within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and do the needful in accordance with law.
6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
